One application. Unlimited potential.

Currently accepting applications for the 2025ā€“2026 schoolĀ year.

How to Apply

We are partnering with Navigate STL Schools, a St. Louis non-profit dedicated to educating parents about every school option available in St. Louis City. Please visit Navigate STL Schools to learn about every school option in the St. Louis City boundaries. You can also reach out to receive one-on-one help from a school navigator by calling Navigate STL Schools at: (314) 408-2468 or email at navigator@navigateststlschools.org. You can visit Navigate Stl Schools to understand what options are available in St. Louis City. Once you have learned about your options, contact the schools that you are interested in directly to schedule tours and learn even more. Visit navigatestlschools.org and utilize their school search tool for school information.

To be included in the lottery, the application for the 2025ā€“2026 school year opens on OctoberĀ 14, 2024 and closes on MarchĀ 1, 2025. You may still apply after the deadline but will be placed in line in the order that your application wasĀ received.

An application can be submitted online anytime after the deadline but will not be included in the lottery and will be entered in the order it wasĀ received.

First, create a family profile. Once this is done you will be able to apply to as many schools on your application as you wouldĀ like.

If you already have a family profile, you will use this same login information each year that you apply. Take time to decide what best suits yourĀ student.

Once you submit your application you will be entered into a lottery for each of the schools you chose. If a school has more applications than seats available, they must run a lottery for those seats. A lottery is simply a randomized computer generated list of names that assigns positions for the seats available and for the order of the waitlist. If a school has less applications than seats available, all applicants will be made anĀ offer.

The lottery results will be available and made public on March 7, 2025, at 4pm and will be sent to you via your preferred communicationĀ method.

If you submit an application after March 1, 2025, your application will be placed in line in the order that it wasĀ received.

The school(s) you applied to will contact you when they have availableĀ space.

You will either be made an offer or be placed on a waitlist. You can receive multiple offers, but you can only accept one of theĀ offers.

Once you accept an offer, the system will automatically decline all other offers that you may have and any waitlist offer for a school you have ranked lower than the school where you are accepting a seat. You can, however, remain on a waitlist for a school that you may have ranked higher than the school you accepted an offer for. If you are made an offer from the waitlist at a later date for a school you ranked higher, you can accept that offer but you will be removed from any other school that you previously accepted a seat with. The system will only allow you to hold one seat at a time and will give you the best option for your highest rankedĀ school.

Once you accept your seat in the platform, you will receive registration and enrollment instructions via text and/or email. You will complete your registration with the one school that you have selected through the same platform you used for applying. Please note that your seat is not secure until registration and enrollment is complete.

About Us

SchoolAppSTL streamlines the school application process for families in the St. Louis Public School boundaries. It is a special project of Show Me MO Schools, a nonprofit with a mission to help parents understand their school options, in partnership with a number of local St. Louis organizations committed to educationalĀ equity.

Coming Soon

SchoolAppSTL is dedicated to data driven responses. Parents need to be included in the decision making process. SchoolAppSTL will spend the entire first year conducting research with the St. Louis University Prime Center to determine how families currently navigate the complex and fragmented school systems in St. Louis. We will be seeking feedback from schools, parents, and community partners on solutions and structures to support parents in school navigation. Once that research is complete we will share it publicly here. Please look for more information about the project toĀ come.

SchoolAppSTL Community Partners

Education is a vital part of our community. We endorse SchoolAppSTL because we believe that education should be easily accessible to all families in St. Louis. As a community partner that works to improve educational outcomes, we believe that SchoolAppSTL is an important step to achieve thisĀ goal.
